Common Problems

Money From the Claim Agent

Claim agents will offer "advances" so that the railroad can keep you under its control.  Those monthly payments require that you get treated by company approved doctors and that you not hire a lawyer.  There is no such thing as a free lunch, however!  The railroad will recover it's money when your case settles, but you will spend a year with company doctors and no lawyer.

A year from now you will have used up you RRB sick benefits, have no lawsuit filed and be cut off from the "loans" by the company.  You must escape this trap!  There are loan companies who will lend living expense to injured workers, and we can help you get benefits to which you are entitled.  Don't put yourself in the caring hands of the people who hurt you.

RAILROAD'S CAMPAIGN TO INTIMIDATE WORKERS INTO NOT FILING ACCIDENT REPORTS.

New FRA rules are cracking down, but we know the pressure is still on you.  We can help by educating you as to when and how you should file.  We will represent you even if you have not filed an accident report as long as there is evidence of injury and fault of the railroad.

Dismissal of Injured Workers

Lately, the railroads have stepped up their attempts to fire injured workers so as to intimidate others and prevent future claims.  If you get a formal Notice of Investigation after a personal injury you need a lawyer RIGHT THEN, not after you get dismissed.
